Dear Fifth Grade Families,
As the fifth grade teachers, ATs, and myself have worked together this last week, we have often remarked on how much we miss teaching your students in person. Thank you for working together with us to continue to educate your children during this difficult time.
We have been
working very hard to create learning packets to continue to provide the best
education possible for your child, considering the circumstances. Please
know that these packets were created with thoughtfulness and care with you and
your student in mind.
You may
receive the learning packet in one of three ways:
- Digital –
download and print the entire packet at GHNO Remote Learning Page.
(Password: GHNOremotelearning2020)
- Paper
– pick up the hard copy packet at GHNO Lower School front porch this week
starting at 8 am today (pickup info
and wave times).
- Combo
– View the digital file on your device (for instructions, readings, etc.),
and print only the cover sheet, attendance affidavit, and student work
pages (pages that need to be turned in).
Please note
that a portion of these packets – the cover sheet, attendance affidavit, and
student work pages – must be completed and returned to the school for grading
and attendance credit purposes. We will communicate the turn-in process
soon.
Please feel
free to reach out to your homeroom teacher via e-mail about your student’s progress, struggles,
and questions. Please email me with math specific questions.

If we receive many of the same questions, we will create a "Frequently Asked Questions" post on this blog. Please check later today for messages from each of the 5th grade teachers and ATs.
Stay safe and take care of each other. We cannot wait until we can see your students again at school.
Kind regards,
