Week of October 1, 2019

Dear Fifth Grade Families,

Thank you for the gift of time we received this week in order to continue to grow as teachers. Each member of our fifth grade team was able to receive further training on the subjects we plan and teach. We hope you enjoyed the extra time as a family and we thank you for rearranging your schedules accordingly.

In your student's agenda you can find a lot of information about your child's experiences at school. Each student is required to write down each days assignments in an agenda and there are often notices on upcoming tests and quizzes. When a student receives an infraction or a headmaster referral, a notice is stapled in the student's agenda. In addition behavioral notices, you may also find that your child has earned a random act of kindness point or a commendation for courage and perseverance in mathematics.

Parent/Teacher conferences are in two weeks. Sign ups will be available by 5pm today. We look forward to meeting with you to discuss your child's progress and how we can work together to support that.
