Week of November 11, 2019

Dear parents,

Thank you for the books you have donated to our classrooms! Our classroom libraries have been refreshed by your gifts. We are very pleased to offer a wider range of reading choices to our students.

We would also like to give a special thank you to our volunteers for last week's literature celebration of The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.

Our field trip is coming up. If you are interested in volunteering for our field trip or for future school events, please fill out a background check, FERPA form, and Volunteer Expectations and Agreement Form. The deadline for background checks to be eligible for our field trip is on December 13th. Please see our post "Field Trip Announcement" for links to those forms and to pay the field trip fee.

We are beginning The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett this week and students need to have their own copy to read and annotate in class. If you have not yet purchased a copy, you can purchase it from this Amazon link or from other booksellers.
